Our Services

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is about getting back to the things that matter — whether that's getting dressed independently, going to school, playing with friends, or returning to work. Our OTs work with children and adults across a wide range of conditions, and collaborate closely with the rest of our allied health team to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Where formal documentation is needed, our OTs complete thorough Functional Capacity Assessments and other reports to support NDIS applications, funding reviews, legal matters, or workplace requirements.

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy (OT) focuses on helping people of all ages participate in the daily activities — or "occupations" — that give life meaning and purpose. These include self-care tasks, work, school, leisure, and social participation.

Our occupational therapists assess the interaction between the person, their environment, and the activities they want or need to do. They then develop personalised strategies, skill-building programs, and environmental modifications to improve independence and participation.

OT is highly effective for individuals with disability, developmental delays, injury, neurological conditions, and mental health challenges.

Children & Young People

Supporting developmental milestones, fine motor skills, sensory processing, school readiness, and participation in play and daily routines.

Adults with Disability

Enabling greater independence in self-care, home management, and community participation through skill-building and environmental modifications.

Injury & Recovery

Supporting return to daily life activities following injury, surgery, stroke, or other health events that affect functional capacity.

Older Adults

Promoting safe ageing-in-place through home assessments, falls prevention, and daily living skill support.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between OT and physiotherapy?

Physio focuses primarily on movement and physical recovery through hands-on techniques and guided rehab. OT focuses on helping you participate in daily activities — at home, school, work, and in the community. Both often work together as part of your care team.

Can OT be funded through NDIS?

Yes. OT is one of the most commonly funded supports under NDIS, particularly for capacity building and assistive technology.

Do you do home modification assessments?

Yes. Our OTs can complete home visits and provide recommendations and reports for home modifications funded through NDIS or aged care.
